About Maggie

Maggie Anderson grew up in a small town in Mississippi where her mother was her art teacher. She has many fond memories of helping her display all of her students' art at the local art museum. On many weekends, they would sit in the kitchen together and paint while talking about Van Gogh's Sunflowers and Degas's little dancers. She has always been drawn to the Impressionist style and believes that each painting tells a unique story.

In 2026, Maggie graduated with a degree in Music performance from CU Bolder in Colorado. Even though she trekked west, Maggie loved growing up in the South and believes the culture, colors, and styles have transpired into her work. As an impressionist, she loves to work with acrylics. Still life, tables-capes, and wedding scenes are her primary inspiration. She is inspired by light and hues working together to make scenes feel nostalgic.

Maggie currently resides in Norfolk, NE, with her husband, Dylan. When she’s not painting, you will most likely find her out on a long run somewhere in town, giving a voice lesson, or working at her favorite Boutique, Smitten and Steel. As a trained musician, she is reminded of how growing up in an artistic household molded her into becoming a multifaceted individual. She truly believes that the arts work together to tell beautiful stories.
